Adding or Editing Contacts

This screen allows you to modify the fields for a particular contact. This screen can be divided into the following five logical sections. Each field is described in more detail below.

Names

These fields describe a contact's name:

Name: The contact's first name.

MI: The contact's middle initial.

Last: The contact's last name.

Suffix: The suffix such as Dr., Jr. or III.

Nickname: The contact's nickname.

    Note: the nickname field may be used in later releases of this software as a shorthand for this contact to make referencing it from other parts of the program (such as events) easier. Currently it supports no real function.

Business Contact

These fields contain information on contacting this person at his/her place of business:

Phone: The contact's phone number.

FAX: The contact's FAX number.

Cell: The contact's cell phone number.

Email: The contact's email. This field will be displayed as a mailto: link when the contact is displayed.

Web Page: The contact's web page. This field will be displayed as a hyperlink when the contact is displayed.

Business Information

These fields contain further business related information:

Company Name: This contact's company name. If the name fields above are empty this field will be displayed as this contact's name.

Postal Code:
Country: These are the common postal mail address fields.

Position: The contact's position within his/her company.

Department: The contact's department.

Office: The contact's office number.

Personal Contact

These items can be used for contact the person at home.

These items can be used for further personal information about this person at home.
