On 01/07/2021 I just found out the case was dropped unfounded.  What a crock of crap.

Sebring police dropped it unfounded.  assholes.   I was polite during my interaction with A. Contreras and I now found out why they dropped the charges, it is not what I was told by text message, but it is actually because of the following: 

I found out that because the bad guy is black, that Sebring Police Department does not want to press charges so they do not want to offend the BLM.  

This appears to mean that they will now start allowing black guys to pull guns on white guys and not press charges so they then don't get accused of racism against blacks or offend the BLM members.   Remember BLM has been rioting and looting for years now, and most notably in 2020.

The guy put his gun away after more cars arrived at the intersection (potential witnesses), and only then did I get out of my car to take pictures - because the gun was pointed at me.  But still brandishing a gun is illegal.  Why not charge that?   Conceal carry permit holders can't brandish a gun can they?   I was afraid for my life when the gun was pointed at me, but not when there were now 5 or more cars full of witnesses and he put the gun down. 

Sebring doesn't want rioting and looting here so let's not offend BLM.

There were two forms in the packet of paperwork the officer gave me.  He left before he went over what was in that packet of paperwork.   I went through the paperwork and I filled out the forms “Marsy’s Law Request Form” and “Victim Notification Form” also on 01/01/2021.  I drove the forms to the police department also on 01/01/2021 but they were closed for New Years Weekend.   On Monday 01/04/2021 I hand delivered both forms to them when they reopened. 

01/01/2021 at 1440 hours I driving east on Schumacher Road approaching highway 27.   The intersection of east bound Schumacher Road and Highway 27 there are 4 lanes.  Two left turn lanes to go north on 27.  One straight lane which when crossing 27 where Schumacher turns into Sebring Parkway.  There is also one right turn lane to go south on 27.

As I was approaching this intersection the traffic signal just turned red.  I wanted to go north on Highway 27 and I drove into the far-left turn lane out of the two left turn lanes.   I stopped at the red light waiting until I get a green left turn arrow, which will be several minutes because I was on a smaller side road and I know I will be waiting for a couple minutes before I get a green left turn arrow as they keep the highway 27 lights green longer than this smaller side road.     I was the first car at the intersection that was stopped at the red light.  Shortly after I stopped at this intersection other cars that were going east on Schumacher Road also stop for the red light.

It was warm so my windows were down.  It wasn't hot enough to drive with them up with my A/C turned on.  Just after I stopped, I heard some very, very loud and very, very vulgar music coming from a car my right side.  It was 2 lanes over, and was the first car in the lane that is going straight across 27 to go onto Sebring Parkway.    The music was very loud and very, very, very vulgar.  Kill the bitch and stuff like that.  It was coming from a white Nissan Armada Classic LE with Florida plates "508 RVJ" expiration of 01/21, Broward County".    Occupied with only the driver.  Black male with short hair and also facial hair (could be a goatee). 

I was disgusted with the vulgar music about killing woman and a lot of other swearing.  I looked at him, shook my head in disgust.   The driver didn't like that so he opened his driver’s door to make the sound that was coming out of his vehicle become louder because opening the driver’s door makes it louder without having to turn the music up.

After about 10-15 seconds or so the driver closed his door.  I shook my head again and the driver flipped me off.    I kept shaking my head in disgust and he then pulled out a large caliber silver semi-automatic gun on me.  He aimed it directly at me for about 5 seconds.   I was afraid for my life; he was about to murder me.      Other cars started to come up to this intersection with the red light and with all these other cars being around now as potential witnesses, he put his gun away from my view, though it could have still been in his hand, but I could not see.

Now that there were cars all around him (behind, left, right) I yelled at him that I am calling the police and took his picture.   I then got out of my car since having both sides of my car in between him and I - is safer in case he shot.   He didn't shoot but I was very afraid for my life when the gun was pointed directly at me. 

I know this intersection and since we were on the side road of the intersection, I know that it was going to be a long red light, so I took a picture of his rear license plate.   Now I had two different pictures, one of him in the driver’s seat with his window open, and another of his rear license plate.

I again said that I am calling the police, then the light turned green, he took off at a very high rate of speed, slightly burning rubber.   I then signaled that I was going to change lanes from my left turn lane and proceed to go straight through the intersection the same direction that the other driver was going.  He was now probably half a mile away since he was driving so very fast away from me.   I turned into the very first parking lot I came across which was a strip mall that I believe is called Sebring Square.    I called 911 at about 1444 pm and I briefly told the dispatcher about this guy pulling a gun on me and threatening my life with it pointed right at my head.  

The officer arrived shortly afterwards, while I was on the phone with 911.  (it was a very quick response and he was very professional throughout it.   The dispatcher on 911 call was also professional).

I gave my statement to the officer verbally.  He then was on the radio a couple times between talking to me.   He asked for and I provided my driver’s license to him.  He asked me a few more probing questions about the incident.  I repeated what happened and also that I was very afraid for my life when the bad guy pointed the gun directly at me, right at my head.    The officer then took an audio statement on a voice recorder, he also took a picture of me and my car.  When he was completely done, he returned my driver’s license to me and handed me a stapled stack of paperwork including his name and the case number.  

I do not want my personal information given out to this person who threatened my life, given out to the public or his lawyer.  I am afraid that he will find out where I live and now that I made a formal complaint, will make good on his threat and now attempt to murder me.     I want to pursue charges and I work with all Sebring Law Enforcement - Police officers, detectives and Sebring city prosecuting attorney at all times as they want.
