Description

Every page generated by this program shares certain visual aspects with every other page. These shared parts of the generated web pages are described more fully on the following web pages.

There are three main parts to each web page:

The Header
The Body
The Footer

The Body section is made up of three sub-parts:

The Main Menu
The Main Table
The Sub Menu

Each of these six items is similar in the sense that their display is control by values in the Calendar Configuration File.

Unlike other configuration items however (those you can edit from the Edit Calendar page) some items that control the visual aspects of the calendar display are not available for editing via a web based form. You must edit these values by hand.

Also, unlike these other items, visual-related items are not preserved when you change or reset the template. This is for an obvious reason - when you change a template these visual-related items are exactly what you are changing.

What does this mean to you? It means that if you modify these items by hand and then change or reset the template you will lose you work. A backup file is created before a template is changed (saved in a file called calweb.ini.bak in the calendar's folder) so if you incorrectly change a template you can recover your changes from this file.

You should back up any changes you make to the Calendar Configuration file.
