Good company, though their
programmers and QC department did not do a good job with quality
control when I was
employed at the company for over 5 years. They would fix 3
bugs but introduce 1 new bug - reasons below....
I was an IBM mainframe computer
programmer from 1983 to 2013. 07/2007 to 03/2013 I was a
tech support employee at that company and I know how to fix bugs
correctly and Infinite Campus didn't because they automated checks
without much manual effort to verify.
One time they had a new report display
on the screen that looked like an Excel spreadsheet with column
headings and data underneath. The online screen was accurate,
but if you click "print", the printout printed all column headings
but was totally missing the data underneath 3 columns (which meant
they did not test the "print" feature at all...).

We were supposed to close at least 10 tickets/cases each day.
I closed an average of 15 a day, but no one else was over 9 a day
average.
I was their best on that team. For
a couple years I was on the Kentucky Tech Support team, we supported
each Kentucky School District and also KDE (Kentucky Department of
Education).
In my 20+ year professional opinion, the
Infinite Campus software is the best available when I was employed
there, but they introduced a LOT of bugs when they didn't need to.
When I was an IBM mainframe programmer we had to PROVE that the
changes we made were BUG-FREE. But Infinite Campus tried
and tried but failed even though they had a QC department.
I remember a new online screen with
about 7 columns that could contain data. But if you hit print,
you would get 7 column headings but only 4 columns would contain the
data. BUG. this is just one example.
RECOMMENDATION: BUY !

Hello,
Infinite Campus ex-employees telling on
IC about some things they have done. My name is Steve Cook and I
worked in Support for 5.5 years and the following are fact.
1: Support person "Diane" was logged
in and looking at a student’s page that included the students
picture, name, address, SSN, DOB, parents names. She thought this
child was funny looking so she took a picture of that child with her
smart phone and sent that information to her friend who is not a
Campus employee.
I took this information to Mike Rhodes. Diane
wasn't fired and still works at IC. I believe the student was a KY
student too. I also believe that this is a private information and
should not have been sent out. They didn’t fire her for this.
2: Michael Rhodes had a support
department meeting and said that he was looking for two new support
employees. He wanted referrals from us. He also said he wanted
someone in their 20's and not his age (40's-50's).
This is
illegal. I have gone to Gina and also HR (Greg) about this, and
also told Mike Mock too. This is age discrimination and I took
offense to it since I am his age or possibly even a little older
than him. They didn’t fire him for this.
3: Dave Noles, support person. I saw
him on the internet when he had pictures of nearly naked women on
his computer at work. I went to his supervisor Aaron Carlson about
it, plus later to Mike Mock, Gina and Zach too.
4: Dave Noles, support person. We all
know that some people think holes or rips in their jeans are cool
looking, usually the hole is near or on the knee. But Dave Noles
had a hole in the front, just to the side and halfway down his
zipper where his underwear was sticking out. I went to HR manger
(Greg) about it, plus later to Mike Mock, Gina and Zach too.
I would have fired all three of these
people for those things. I didn't make any of these things up,
but I wanted to let you know what these people did. They might try
to sue me for this email, but there isn't any basis to sue since all
4 of these items were something that I went and made a complaint
about to more than one person in support and/or HR.
