There are two parts.
Part 1: Illinois
Letter
Part 2: NY State
Police requested FL detective to visit me
Part 1: Illinois Letter
I put this in writing and sent an email AND I mailed a paper
letter to the Governor and Mayor listed below… I think I covered all of the
parts of why Illinois is wrong for me when I visit them from Florida….
Please notify the Illinois Governor and Chicago’s Mayor about
my post and I am driving to Chicago and suburbs between Thanksgiving week,
Christmas week or New Years week.

With Guns........We Are 'Citizens'.
Without Guns...We Are 'Subjects'.
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon
Johnson are complete morons and they are against the U.S. Constitutions and
especially the 2nd amendment.
Pritzker and Johnson CANNOT and Will NOT reduce the
2ndAmendment of the Constitution to be ONLY for Illinois Citizens. (Ever
hear of the U.S. Constitution and also the U.S. Supreme Court cases
including the Bruen Decision?)
I am from Florida and I carry both of my 2 guns pictured in
this post while I am in Illinois. (The one in orange is not a firearm but is
a self-defense instrument that is legal in all 50 states (from Byrna.com).

Hey Illinois and Chicago, what are you going to do? Look at
the 2nd Amendment AND also the U.S. Supreme Court Cases including
the Bruen Decision.
I CARRY whenever I go to ILLINOIS and/or CHICAGO and I am not an Illinois
resident because I am from Florida. My relatives are from the Chicago area
(Villa Park, Elmhurst) and I can visit them. PS: I used to have an Illinois FOI Card and I also used to be
a Federal Law Enforcement Officer in Illinois years ago. I do have the
Florida carry permit card though not needed in Florida.
I carry a lethal firearm and also a non-lethal gun whenever I
visit Illinois from Florida (I always drive). I go one time a year for up to
1 week. When I am driving, I keep both guns (one a firearm and one
non-lethal Byrna) holstered and, on my passenger seat hidden from view with
a hand towel over them - but quickly reachable.
--> Of course, I put them on my gun belt whenever I get out
of my car - never leaving them vulnerable to theft or I keep them locked
away not in the car. I always Conceal carry instead of open carry.
-->
CHICAGO IS VERY DANGEROUS
Chicago is a VERY, VERY dangerous place. Each visit to
Illinois I usually go to the downtown Chicago area and whenever I do I carry
both guns each and every single time. I go to the Magnificent Mile for
shopping, the Science Museum with its coal mine tour, Navy Pier, sailing on
my uncle’s sailboat, downtown Thanksgiving Day Parade etc...
-->
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS: MOST IMPORTANT...We don't need the
states permission for "constitutional rights".
My "constitutional rights" don't end at state borders: 2nd
amendment, free speech, freedom of religion etc. are still valid entering
any other state - it's the U.S. Constitution after all.
We don't lose our "constitutional rights" whenever we enter
another state.
-->
PRIVILEGES: VERY IMPORTANT...
Nor do my "privileges" end at state borders either.
Driver’s license, car registration, car insurance, marriage
licenses, divorce decree, ability to buy real estate, buy tobacco products,
buy alcohol etc. are still valid entering any other state (if 21 or older,
which I am).
-->
I DARE THEM...
I triple-dog-dare dare Illinois State Police or Chicago PD to
do anything. Thank Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon
Johnson for being such idiots.
-->
SUMMARY...
I have the 2nd amendment right of self-defense and
self-protection in all 50 states as a U.S. Citizen and as a human being.
It's not a second class right, it's not lesser than freedom of religion or
speech.
DO I NEED STATE PERMISSION TO
PRAY or POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA?
NO, so why do I need state right to carry? All are in the
constitution. 2nd amendment is not a lesser right than the other
amendments.
RELIGION: Do I need
state government permission to go to church or synagogue?
NO. Because it is a constitutional right.
SPEECH: Do I need
state government permission to speak, write letters to the editor of a
newspaper, post on social media, peacefully protest?
NO. Because it is a constitutional right.
2A: Do I need state government permission
to carry a gun in my car or on my gun belt.
NO. Because it is a constitutional right.
Of course there is no carrying in any school, anywhere on any
school property or at any school function even if it's not on school
property, and do not carry in any government building or at any
airport/airlines etc....
THE END...of part 1
Part 2:
NY State Police
requested FL detective to visit me
2-3 years ago, I went to New York (upstate NY) to a 3-gun
competition for 62 or over. NY State Police knew I was
driving (I rented) and bringing my AR15 for the competition and a handgun
for self-defense. I emailed them asking some basic carry questions.
NY State Police said I can’t bring my rifle or handgun at all unless passing
through the entire state only stopping for fuel/food.
NY State Police said I can’t have them with me at all if I am
staying anywhere overnight in NY State because firearms in NY State are only
for NY State citizens not anyone from any other state. (NY State
Police are morons for saying this)
3-gun competition: I did terrible as it was my very first
time. I am a little better today as I have tried it a couple more times at a
local outdoor range.
When driving, I kept my handgun on the passenger seat in a
holster but covered up from view. When out of the rental car I carried it
on a gun belt.
NY State Police saw my social media posts about my driving to
NY State and called my own Florida County Sheriff's Office who then sent a
Sheriff's Detective to my home. I captured some of it on my doorbell camera
that I saved...
Nothing happened except he wanted to ask
me questions. It was a knock-and-talk where he was able to walk to my
front door as anyone else could such as a neighbor or salesperson can.
But today it's different.
Now I have a completely fenced in yard including the front
yard with a 6-foot-tall chain link fence. AND I know better not to say
anything at all. Now there is no more knock-and-talk ability
because I keep the fence’s gate shut, chained and padlocked.
So, Chicago and Illinois don't bother contacting anyone in
Florida because of the reasons I list in this post above and I won't talk to
them because they can read this post. This post is 100% legal as a
protected 1st amendment right. No threats, just that I want to
protect myself – self-defense (only if needed)
